when i was working i was always the most productive worker on the team, you constantly see your co workers getting mad about missed promotions and raises.

at my last job(beer truck driver) i was given a larger work load than others but they would put me on a back loading truck instead of a side loader where you had to pull everything off by hand. i got in 2 fights in 3 years and both participants lost their jobs.

everything in life is what you put into it, nothing is handed to you, i decided to go hard and get out quick, now i kick it at 42 years old.

I don't need to take a test. I am a workplace time waster. I figured out that the faster you complete assignments, the more assignments will be thrown on your shoulders. And, the folks that are slow usually make the same money, while not breaking a sweat.

Guilty! I do get my job done and I do meet my deadlines but I also squeeze in surfing, watching Youtube videos, reading the news, etc whenever possible! In fact, I just survived a round of layoffs for my department so I must be doing something right!

yep, ive always finished my work first then played on the companies time, its always worked for me, keeps you under their radar but your actually getting over on the company more than the other 99%

Its like I always say, I am a professional slacker.

What kind of a waster are you? Either you're really smart at looking busy or you're about to get a call from personnel and a brown envelope containing your P45. On the plus side, you always buy a round in the boozer and you have the latest showbiz gossip in the office, so you're perennially popular.

As I write this I am sitting on my bum waiting on my boss(if you can call him that) I do that a lot. I may be a slacker, butI never miss a deadline. And I care less about showbiz gossip.

Used to be more efficient, until I learned that no salary raises beat inflation, let alone even match it. And I'd seen little or no correlation between high output, high responsibility and high pay. I'd probably go back to being a workaholic if it equated to pay, or the ability to leave early for the day. But the unfortunate reality of bureaucratic environments is that hard work means more work. Get your ducks in a row, and you'll soon be the go-to man to get someone else's ducks in a row too.

Slows down the independent self sufficient types whilst keeping the eyes of the feds and revenuers off the real threat.
