Once converted, do they accept regular AK mags? Like that WASRs use? Thanks.

If you want to run AK mags just get an AK- around my area, Ak's (WASR) are cheaper then the Saiga brand. PLus you can get hi cap mags now for the Saiga, there are expensive but buying a Saiga now ain't cheap either.

But the Saiga'a are better quality.
Not made from used parts.
They are essentially AK100's--brand new. Made in Russia.
Tight and clean.

Installing a bullet ramp and filing down the mag-catch is no big deal.

If you want to run AK mags just get an AK

A saiga is an AK, hidden under a bunch of sporter BS.

A few easy modifications and she is up and running with original furniture.

Yeah Mittel- I understand that but why for the higher expensive and hassle of doing the conversion (full on conversion not just the mag mod). It's still going to be just another 7.62x39- now the 308 that's a different story.
