do they have expiration dates like prescription meds? can anyone make a list if they do of commonly used otc meds and their expiration dates. thanks

They do have expiration dates. Taking an expired med will not harm you. Basically, its effectiveness diminishes after the expiration dates. IT you are stocking up on OTC medications, I suggest:

Ibuprofin (advil)
Antacids (Tums)
Antihistamines (benadryl)
APAP (Tylenol)
Anti-diahrreals (pepto bismal)
antibiotic ointment (neosporin)
antifungals (lotrimin)
lice killing shampoo/sprays

make sure you get childrens meds as well if you have kids.

Do not give Aspirin to children under 2.

where can you find the expiration dates?

Usually on the label or the bottom of the bottle. It should read "exp" or expires. On the foil wrapped stuff, look for it imprinted at the edge of the foil.

Usually the expiration is found near the LOT number as well.
