I can't seem to find anything online, but I was wondering the prices of common items in ounces of silver or gold? I know it's based off of what you think it's worth but...

the price of an average car?
house?
a gallon of milk?
a loaf of bread?

Right now, today, you can buy two gallons of gas for a 1964 quarter. In 1964, when i was in HS, a 1964 quarter would only buy one gallon of gas. But then it was real money and today's fiat currency hasn't been 'money' since 1973 when President Nixon took us off the gold standard.

In 1980, silver went from $5.00 per troy ounce to $48.70 per troy ounce due to price manipulation by the Fed governemnt.

But that couldn't happen again, right?
