Interesting. Just saw headline that summer gas was lowest price in 4 years due to low crude prices. Prices vary a lot due to different state taxes. But within Washington state though the average is $4.40, some places are as low as a buck less. Of course that means some places have much higher prices to get that average.

 

This was the same station approximately 30 hours apart.

$2.89 is the cheapest I find in the Phoenix area. Most of them are about $3.29

 

not getting any relief here in the upper part of SC. IF I drive about 30 mins down the road I can find diesel about 35 cents/gal less, but gas remains consistently in the upper $2..ie $2.79 and up. I know the politicians keep telling us prices are at a low, but hasn't hit here yet. We are about to take late vacation in mid August..running from SC down to Fla Keys - RV diesel. I full expect to pay between $3.55 - $3.85/gal which is no change from last year. I've also been prepared for market spikes in light of middle east..but haven't seen that either.

 

way up North we are well over $3/gal, almost $3.50, thank goodness for using grocery store coupon deals where we can get sometimes .70 cents off per gallon.

 

The gas prices actually went down overnight from $3.89 to $3.75 here in my area of California, wondering what's going on since July 1st the state raised the gas tax which should have been going up and not down. NEWS was predicting $5 or more here in California due to tax and a refinery being down.

 

Just wait- there's still time for THAT.

 

I filled up yesterday and gas was $2.97. Gas is always high priced in Utah even though there are oil refineries minutes from downtown SLC. They do it because they can.

I thought I saw a price increase from the time we left Mt P (on 20) until we hit Midland, there was a $.40/gal increase, but that's not that unusual around here.

 

I just paid $2.79 here in SWFL. Pretty much the same price all around.

 

Our Chevron went from $2.99 to $3.09 the other day. I didn't look this morning on my way to the shop. The stop n rob was $2.73, I don't stop there, so I don't get robbed.

Still almost $4.00 here in Northern Nevada. County taxes here are almost $0.60 a gallon ... I usually fill up once a week in the next County over where it's much less oppressive taxation

 

Just the opposite here. last week the normal price was $3.39.

Today I got a surprise. Too wet to work the garden so went to town to shop. Costco was at $2.64. I think that's the lowest in several years. The rest of the stations mostly were at $3.09.

 

Gas is holding pretty steady here, but DIESEL is down. Paid 3.13 when I went to fill the fuel cans (and top off the fuel in the truck. Last time I filled the truck it was around 3.37

It's been holding at 3.29 to 3.19 locally and just under 3.00 about 30 miles north of us. Diesel did go up to almost $4.00 though.

It was always cheaper there. I'm paying 3.20 something in NW MT. When I go to WA it's usually 40-50 cents a gallon more there

$2.29 to 2.59 here in SW Michigan. been steadily dropping but nothing as dramatic as that.

 

Earlier this week

Alpena jumped from $3.04 to $3.39 but they have been fluctuating a lot this summer and everywhere else had already been $3.39. Right now I'm seeing $3.39 Alpena to Saginaw. Sometimes you get a small town like Atlanta or in your area Rosebush that sells it 10-20 cents cheaper but they're getting hard to find.

 

BooJoo When I go back home to MI, I find the Admiral stations have cheaper gas in that area (Oscoda for me). Where I live in AZ now, our gas is about 3.09 or less but in Phoenix it is almost always 45 cents a gallon higher. Price fixing I guess.

 

This at the Depot, east side of Edmore. Rosebush is usually cheaper, but I don't get up that way a whole lot anymore.

 

My guess is tariffs. They are literally directly affecting my job, I'm basically a pricing specialist. Every time they change, I get more data entry to do.

 

Honestly it's most likely just a correction to the norm. I drive through his area a lot for work and that $2.87 is an anomoly. I did the see the same price at a station down there 2 weeks ago but everyone else was $3.29-3.39. Gas has been creeping up in fact even though I have apps for just about every gas station in Michigan and some for chains we don't even have any of I still averaged $3.09 at the pump for June, the first time I've averaged $3.00+ this year.
