He's such a dipstick. He hasn't got a clue as to how to control crime.

He's trying to make more criminals out of law abiding people
Major aim is to effectively disarm the american people. The people backing him do have a clue and it is pure evil.
There is also some racial baiting in this. People that are against his gun laws are according to him responsible for the high crime among people of color. The lead cause of death for about 15 or 17-34 year old black males according to him is homicide. so the implication is if you oppose his point of view you are a racist. And if you are a black person that opposes biden according to biden you must not be black he on record for saying.

What is most effective way for the individual to communicate to our government that we are opposed to what the President said and proposed ?

ms gamboolgal and I vote. We even voted from overseas before I retired.

High level of frustration after 43 year in the Oilfields and paying several million in taxes....

I already email e my Federal and State Representatives and Senators to express my opinions on issues. ms gamboolgal does the same.

I also hand write letters with a Pen and Paper and mail them to the Representatives via Snail Mail.

We are lifetime members of the National Rifle Association, Texas State Rifle Association and Gun Owners of American.

In addition to be lifetime members to the 3 X above organizations, we contribute monies to the above

I have never attended any Political Action Committee meetings - not sure how to go about doing that.

I have never called my Representatives but that is a easy one to fix.

I have also never tried to schedule a Face to Face meeting with my Representatives - but never hurts to try.

What else can a Law Abiding Citizen do ?

I feel that I'm Pushing A Wet Rope here....

Any help or advice will be appreciated.

Two words: red herring.

The 5% Dopey Joe refers to very likely includes those gunshops the BATFE strong-armed into selling firearms to those who wouldn't otherwise qualify during Fast & Furious. Then, what Dopey doesn't say is of those 5% the guns were traced back to; how many of those were originally LEGAL sales that ended up with the firearms either being stolen or sold by the original purchaser to a prohibited possessor? Never mind just how many laws exist on the books today. The problem here is the lack of enforcement of those laws. So let's create laws to a problem that likely doesn't exist, or is a smaller percentage than being "communicated" by this regime, and use that as justification for going after ALL gun dealers.

Gun violence is not an epidemic. Violence is. The criminals are simply using guns to inflict their violence. Yet, the root cause of the problem continues to be deliberately ignored: enforcement of the existing laws.

It's coming to fruition one of the key goals of social-marxism is abolishing private property Rights among other equally dehumanizing Evil and peculiar institutions. Disarm then tax the middle class out of existence. One either submits to the Subjugation of serfdom/slavery . Or Stand's their ground. By any means necessary. Those who think that this cup will pass from their lips because they're law abiding and peaceful. Well may their chains rest lightly upon them.

"Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed, as they are in almost every country in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops."
- Noah Webster, An Examination of the Leading Principles of the Federal Constitution, October 10, 1787

Gamboolman, make 'em publish and read what you write! Submit formal comments on proposed regulations.
My comments:

It is clear, from a reading of the Constitution, that American citizens have a right to keep and bear arms. If the Legislative Branch wishes to change that Constitution, the process for doing so is well described (and much more stringent than a simple vote).

Until that occurs, any enforcement of unconstitutional laws, rules, or regulations is illegal under Title 18 Section 242, "Deprivation of Rights Under Color of Law".

The ATF should be disbanded immediately.

Yep, there's a reason we're called the Lone Star State. Have to give Abbott and all the other conservative governors props for standing up against the unconstitutional violations of rights that Biden and the federal government are shelling out. I've never appreciated a politician as much as Abbott. And Biden can suck a fat log of dookie, to put it nicely.

I like where he says his job as president is to protect the American people then what about all the Americans who have been murdered, robbed, raped, beat up or killed in auto accidents by illegals coming over the southern border that the same president refuses to close or protect. Their standard answer is to tell people who live close to the border to move away. To leave. Thats the answer from every democrat who has held that office.

Shotgun Joe and his Oreo are just another joke of an administration.

barnetmill & fflincher & others,

Thanks for the replies and suggestions.

But - when it comes to structuring a brief succinct effective letter communicating concerns and recommendations for these kind of Political Issues, e.g., 2nd Amendment, Ilegal Aliens, Election Fraud, Budget and Critical Race Theory, etc., - I need help.

Is there resource(s) or forum(s) or someplace I can get Boiler Plate examples of verbiage for these type of issues that I could use and revise as I see fit ?

I know from working megaoil corp projects that you normally get one shot - and it needs to be well structured, simple, and crystal clear to be effective.

ms gamboogal and I want to do more now that I have time being retired, but we want to be effective.

Thanks for your help and assistance.

I'd make any phone call or letter short and succinct or they are not going to read or listen to it.

Save the expletives for the end, after you've made your point.

My initial reaction to Resident Biden saying you need aircraft and nukes was a bit of a declaration of war: he's discounting the fact that we citizens have a say in a democracy. It's not enough that he / they cheated, but now he's basically threatening us with overwhelming force. If he's not inciting war as being our only alternative, I don't know what else it could be.

This dottering cretin threatens his own citizenry while mollycoddling the real enemies like China (and for fear of no more money for influence).

I've said it before, where do they think the military comes from? There's an air force base in town that is somewhat important to them. Planes start dropping bombs, well ... we basically know where they live. The AF base and actual houses with their families.

There is no them. They are us (as much as any other group like firefighters and police). If it got serious, they would split and I bet most of the effective ones would fall on our side.

And this is false.

“The Second Amendment, from the day it was passed, limited the type of people who could own a gun and what type of weapon you could own,” Biden said. “You couldn’t buy a cannon.
But a liar's gotta lie.

If you could afford a cannon or large sailing ship with cannons, you could own them.

Still can.

Buy it now price of around 15k.

My in-laws have a neighbor into civil war reenactment who has one. He can rattle the windows in their small town when he lights it off.

No, no, no....you are missing a valuable angle here.

He is correct. There were people who could not own firearms and weapons.

Like Black people (even free Blacks), Immigrants, Natives, etc.

You know, the people his base panders to politically yet despise behind their backs.

Gun control is racist and classist and always has been. THAT is how you address these anti-2A knuckleheads.

I believe they should charge every violent gun they find with a felony and incarcerate that gun. That's the only way to stop gun violence.

One of the best things that happened during the Trump years is that Merrick Garland was not appointed to the Supreme Court.

This, by Biden, is a major shift in rhetoric.

Prior to this, he's always made innane statements like, "You don't need an AR-15 with 30 rounds to go deer hunting." Here he finally addressed the elephant in the room: the possibility of governmental tyranny. But (of course) he get's it exactly wrong, suggesting We The People are somehow going to 'attack the government'.

Jan. 6th really rattled their cages. They will never get over it.
