I think 80% of Amerika are Sheeple who will say you are nutz, fear you, talk about you, not let their kids play with you, start taking pictures, call the cops "for your own safety", or otherwise worsen your OPSEC.
Oh, yeah they will definately come to you for a handout. "We know you got lots of food, so give us some you damned HORDER!"

Make plans, but dont tell them anything until they WANT help.

Here's the reality for me. My neighbors are old and diabetic. Two months into a grid down fiasco with the havic it would entail, they'll be dead because they have no insulin. I told a few close friends who prep that if they can make it out to me then we can have a fairly secure neighborhood. They currently don't have a BOL, so it would behoove them to bring their stuff and get out here. Just some contingency plans.

By the way, I've got my neighbors six in the meantime.

Sounds like you need a generator and ice maker to store insulin.
