Got my wife a furlined down parka, and a homebrewing setup. She got me a guitar to fill in for my old studio which we don't have the electricity yet... Not really a prep, since I've never played guitar, probably more something TO survive.

I got a cast iron skillet and some new hiking boots from my wife.

I gave my girlfriend an engagement ring....she said YES!

So I now have a partner in my preps. She gave me the Ball Home Canning Basics set, a 9 cup Coleman aluminum coffee percolator and "The Urban Homestead, Your Guide to Self-Sufficient Living in the Heart of the City" by Kelly Coyne and Erik Knutzen.
