Well it was only a matter of time…

Let’s have a thread where you can show off your .22 Rifle… I wanted to make this a Ruger 10/22 thread but at the last minute decided to just make for all .22 rifles…

I did buy a Ruger 10/22 last week and I have a few “Options” that should be here by Weds at the latest… I will post a few photos of that once I get it put together…

So please feel free to go ahead and post your .22 and I do mean ONLY rifles, not 22 inch rims… Those will get deleted off the post…

Thanks everyone…

Ok, even thou it's not completed yet, I will start this and post a few photos...

When complete it will have a very high-gloss clear coat on it and maybe even a BIT of pearl added in.. Maybe... Not sure yet.

Then there are a few other things I am waiting on...

Once done I will take better photos but I wanted to get the photos started...:thumb:

So far this has:
Tactical Solutions Bull Fluted stainless electric blue barrel
Tactical Solutions Extened Mag Release lever (Life saver!)
Boyd's Electric Sky Blue Blaster Stock
Boyd's custom fit but pad

ummm no, I said "Your" .22's.... that does not mean just Ruger 10/22's and in a post above yours I wrote:
Sure go ahead... 22 or 22 mag heck lets even go .17's...

You can post any .22, .22 mag or now even .17's... I don't care what brand... I just happen to like 10/22's...

The NEF was around U$160 new, the stocks were somewhere under U$100.
Its a neat lil pea-shooter, and displays good accuracy with every type of S,L & LR I've fed it.
The heavier sub-sonics are my favorite, very quiet and hit with authority.
I've been thinking of having the barrel shortened to minimum legality, recrowned, and threaded for a flash suppressor. From there it would be a simple chore to make it a bit 'quieter' for SHTF survival poaching.
It makes a great companion piece for my BOB.

It shoots like any good .22, but obviously has more pep to it. I bought it to replace a Winchester WRF (I forget the model number) I had as a kid and stupidly sold for $30. I've seen the Winchesters demanding over $1000 at gun shows, so I think this is a good substitute (for $125, anyway), plus you get .22 magnum and not the hard to find WRF. I'd get one if I could find one that's not too banged up. The forearm/pump handle is kind of loose, but I haven't taken mine apart to see what can be done about it.

How much are they going for nowadays?

Edit to add: Rossi also made this model in regular .22 long rifle.

The Rossi Interarms Model 59. I have one I bought at a gun show recently for $200 "I got screwed as the end of the firing pin was broken and it would strike the shell and dent it, but not fire" I have a new firing pin on the way and I'm letting the guy making it keep my original. If you ever have the same issue "pretty common one from all I've read" let me know and I'll hook you up with his contact information.

I had one when I was in my teens and traded it for something. Always missed it as the one I had was a fine shooter. Thanks for posting the pic of yours.
