I have only had to be 1st hand witness to a dozen or more so flashbacks from those years among those that I hold dear. Only until recently did one of my mentors fathers, who was among the 1st landing on Iwo, actually admit to his son that he was sorry for not giving those in the Vietnam conflict the respect they deserved, most importantly to his son. Devils Dogs each and every one of them. Hats off.

15, 31, 44, 50, 58, 124, 141 - tell a sad story.

The Vietnam War WAS political. It was horribly handled in this country and the poor government support and the disgusting protesters' actions damaged the country and an entire generation of citizens.

I'm not saying people shouldn't protest things they don't believe in, but the Vietnam War Era protesters turned it against the soldiers which was wrong, plain wrong.

Thank you for sharing this link with us.

Thanks for sharing. My Dad was over there, combat medic - 25th Infantry. He brought home many photos, which according to my Mom were very gruesome. We're not sure what happened to them, but I never got a chance to see them.

Dad did mention a couple things that happened and other things in general. A mention of race related issues not staying at home and certain people shooting other certain people during fire fights.
Lighting up some pot and letting it burn in a hole so the bad fellas thought the the US guys were sitting there getting high. Wait for the bad fellas to sneak up on the hole believing to themselves that the US guys would be an easy target. US guys proceed to light 'em up from another hole.

When "Hanoi" John Kerry goes to speak in front of REAL Viet Nam veterans, the veterans all turn their backs towards him. He'll start his speech, he'll see that the veterans are showing their disgust for him, he'll stutter a bit and then he'll continue speaking. Nam vets positively, absolutely hate and despise Kerry.

As a Navy officer he should have been leading by example. Instead he phonied up 3 Purple Hearts and REQUESTED a transfer back to the U.S. and had himself removed from combat in less than 4 months in country. Many of us had multiple tours of duty over in Viet Nam. I know one guy who ended with 5 Purple Hearts and never asked to leave. But not Kerry. Kerry is and was a coward. He knows it and so does every single Viet Nam veteran who ever served over there.

There is a special place in hell for john kerry and his whore jane fonda. As a young Army E-3 I had to sit in a fire base and listen to that POS fonda telling us to lay down our weapons and surrender to the enemy.

I wish we could some how count the number of enemies we faced in Vietnam. IMHO there were more born US citizens who should be placed in that number than Viet Nam nationals. There were so many US born enemy in fact that fonda and others went to North Vietnam due to over crowding in the US.

When I got home on a domestic flight to my next duty station while in uniform a POS woman demanded a change of seat because she wouldn't sit near a "baby killer".

Some here may think I'm just a bitter old man. Yes I am but I've mellowed with age, and thank GOD for the respect shown to our current warriors.

I salute all those that served. You have done so with distinction. Thank you.

That was a bit of history that needs to be shown, too many have forgotten. It was a political war and one that politicians have no right to comment on. Those wounds run deep and will eventually fade with the passing of the soldiers that survived. No one came home from that damn war in one piece, no one.

The Kerrys and Fondas of this world turned their back on the United States and the soldiers that were doing their duty and will have to deal with God for what they have done.

One of the earlier pictures in the series mentioned it, though not be PC name. They mentioned it as "defoliant" These photos scare me, but nothing scares me more than Agent Orange. Chem warfare scares the absolute hell out of me. Thank you for posting these pictures. A kid like me needs some refresher sometimes. And thank you to all of the vets here that served. I salute you.
