One rifle. One shotgun. Two pistols. Which do you choose? Not for SHTF, but like if you were limited to these guns for life.

I'd take a Ruger Mini-14, love those things. For shotguns, I'd take a Remington 870 Tactical in 12ga. For pistols, I'd take my S&W 66-1 and the Kimber Tactical Entry 2. Love those guns. What would you take?

Springfield Armory M1A .308 rifle
Remington 1187 semiauto 12 gauge shotgun w/modifications
Para-Ordnance P-14 .45 ACP handgun
Beretta Tomcat .32 ACP handgun

Just my opinion.

Only 4?

No real use for a scattergun around here.
But what the heck.

Mauser 98 commercial by FN .30-06 or .270
Ithaca 37 12GA Deerslayer 8-round model
Custom 1911 .45 ACP with 10mm slide and .40 S &W &.357 Sig barrels, a .22 conversion unit of course.
Custom Officer's ACP .45.

Personally I'd rather have an old-school CAR-15 than the shotgun, more useful for me, especially if a good .22 conversion unit is added.

But I could make do with the 4.

Of course this leaves off any .22 rifle, any spares in case of breakage, etc.

in real life I've basically made that choice

Armalite AR10
Mossberg 500 platform 12ga
Kimber ultra 1911 for conceal carry
Springfield mil spec 1911 as my sidearm in a fight.

now if I had my druthers, there'd be a real grenade launch bolted to the bottom of my AR..not no silly 30mm...but a true crowd disperser...alas...we live in a 'civilized' society where we don't have masses of rioters trashing cars, looting buildings, and mob attacking others...so we don't really need crowd pleasers or guns at all really

If I could only have four, I'd prefer to have:

1 shotgun, (Remington 870)
1 center fire rifle, (Winchester Model 70, .270)
1 .22LR rifle, (Ruger 10/22 Takedown)
1 center fire handgun, (S&W M&P45)

But to follow your guidelines, I would swap the .270 for either a Shield 9mm, or my S&W Model 66-2. I can use slugs in the shotgun for most things I would need the .270 for, but choosing between those two handguns would be a tough decision.

This has been done to death, but if I'll play.

Rifle, give me a reliable AR. I have several, I'll just grab one of them. Leaning toward my RECCE build at this point.
Shotgun, give me an 870 or clone. Really any reliable 12ga pump gun. I want a slug barrel and rifle sights though.

Pistols, I'll take a G19, and a suppressed Ruger MKII. That covers everything really.

AR-15. Delton Rifle. Or Tikka T-3 in 7-08.
Berretta 686 Onyx, or Browning A-5. Or possibly Remington 11-87 with Slug and field barrels.
Ruger Security six, 357 mag. Or Walther P-38
Ruger Single six with both 22lr and 22 Mag cylinders. Or Ruger Mark II 10 inch target model.
As you may tell, I am attached to some guns and would hate to leave my favs behind.
If I really have to choose the AR or a carbine AR, The 11-87, the .357 and the Single Six.

Great selection.
For me, if I had to choose... I'll go with my Wilson Combat AR with 223 Wylde barrel and probably put another optic from one of my other ARs on it as it currently only has a holosun and back up irons. For my handguns, I'd pick my G17 with frame work and the OZ9 slide and compensator and my trusty but heavy Kriss Sphinx SDP... Or I might trade that one for is the G19 with frame work and the Zev Prizefighter slide and comp.
For a shotgun, I may get flamed for this, but I'm going KSG12 loaded with mini buck shells.

So many choices. I hate picking favorites... It's like picking a favorite child haha. They all serve a purpose.
