Obviously I am a noob when it comes to tactical accessories. I am trying to understand the difference between Picatinny and Weaver rail systems. Are they the same? If not, will one work with the other or vice versa? i.e. If I buy a Picatinny rail system can I only get Picatinny capable accessories? Thanks guys (and ladies).:thumb:

Most Weaver accessories will fit on a Picatinny rail but not necessary vise versa...

"Weaver" rails are not standardized. Each manufacturer has their own width and thickness of their slots or cuts.
Picatinny are a universal standard among all manufacturers of military or tactical mounting systems.
