Straight Razor, this sounds like a great idea! I think I'd like to try this when I bring my daughters backpacking with me next time.

What kind of screening would you recommend, and where would I get it?

Thanks!

It's the usual screen door screening, Plastic works too. And the screen has other uses. The mill will also grind up lepidium seeds and the like. We often think in terms of pounds of this and that but on the trail one can pick up four ounces of this or that, hand grind it and make a meal.

Thank you VERY much, Straight Razor! :)

I'm going to be keeping an eye out for a sturdy, small mill.
This will be a fun way of teaching myself and my daughters, since hands-on experience is a wonderful teacher!

Appreciate it!
