Pentagon giving away 13,000 armored trucks

Well, looks like our local LEOs will be getting a veritable cookie jar full of tools to violate our Constitutional and civil rights with -- compliments of our mighty military machine!

If they have them, they will use them. There are plenty of stories about local SWAT teams in APV's and full tactical gear rolling up on people's lawns to serve warrants for traffic and other non-violent offenses.

It only gets worse from here. Much worse! If you have some food or other things stored, look for one of these to pay a visit, filled with a big bunch of fun-luvin' fellas! :taped:

Hey!!! I have food stored and some other things......I'm going to keep looking out my front window until they get here.....thanks for the tip!

I'll post back when I see them pulling up!
I don't think they'll provide internet access in your FEMA camp, will they?

If they do, by all means, let us know :thumb:

These things have not "outlived their usefulness" as the article states. Rather, replacements will be purchased for our next war. These things need to be relocated to National Guard armories or put into dry storage for military use only. It's not like the rest of the world is going to develop something more advanced any time soon.

Well, according to the article, they're being *given* to local LE departments upon request, just like many other the military vehicles are and have been.

APC's are intimidating, but only before they meet an abattisement. Then they're just impotent. and if push comes to shove, they can also be greeted by his brother, backroute abattisement, and his cousin, deadfall. I grow my own APC defenses.

Just sayin' is all. :thumb:

I couldn't disagree more. WE paid for them, and the government has a fiduciary responsibility to US. They should be sold to civilians at auction, and the proceeds applied to the federal debt. Anything less is a double betrayal.

Sure they could. Maybe not alive, but they could certainly hold millions of people.
It wouldn't be a FEMA camp then would it. The government couldn't control a few thousand bad apples after Katrina ........or the LA riots. The government doesn't have anymore power than the people allow......our army is made up of our brothers and sisters.

This conversation is ridiculas.......anyway it's time for me to grill steaks and chill some beer...yep life is tough. ;)
