"A storage cistern built alongside a barn or other building could serve as an emergency source of water for firefighting in the event that a pond were not nearby."

So Penn State knows that every fire dept in the Commonwealth has to draft water - but the idiot fire commissioner switched use to Delaware/Maryland curriculum that knows everyone has unlimited hydrants and water to to flow.

End rant. Now back to your regularly scheduled thread with a word from our sponsor

I ran across this information and found it worth sharing. The links on the page are also worth exploring.

I wanted to thank you. I live on a old reclaimed mining area. Contaminated water table. Been really worried about self-sustainability concerning water.

This is doable. Thank you so very much.
