Speaker Pelosi refuses to allow a resolution in the House for the joint resolution required for a joint session of Congress for State of the Union.

**** Nancy.

Have State of the Union in the Senate and invite everyone except her.

PS--misspelling in the post wasn't intentional... can't fix the thread title, though.

Edit... Yay! Fixed thanks to Pitbull_Dallas...

Can you imagine how ****ed Trump is right now? She has made this personal and like an elephant he will never forget.... going to his grave finding ways to make her life miserable.

Being a Billionaire.... he could put a Private Investigator in the hip pocket of a dozen of her family members for ten year following his last day in office, just for the fun of it. Their only job would be sending info and photos to the National Inquirer and to prosecutors.

That would be fine, but even better would be an address from the Senate.

Or..... he could rent a 80,000 seat stadium, fill it up and do the address from there.

The reality is the LIBTARD DEMOCRATS and their INBRED global communist masquerading as DEMOCRATIC SOCIALIST children are just adding to the LONG list of reasons why they are no longer our countrymen nor are those that support them in any shape form or fashion. They have no respect for Americans who believe in the Constitution and there fore we need to start accepting the fact that we will have to play for keeps winner take all for our Constitutional Republic. Just remember they chose this path of their own free will now we will play by their rules and they will not like that very much in the end. JMHO and S/FI!

I wonder what kind of dumb excuse Pelosi has for uninviting him now since the security issue was answered. And no one in their right mind believed the "It's not political" story she attempted after her first letter. Maybe she will claim it was in a spirit of Bipartisanship.

Democrats made a bad choice for Speaker. It is going to hurt them big time.

It sure would be great if even one Democrat Representative or Senator came out publicly criticizing this decision of Pelosi. It is a terrible precedent and disrespectful to our entire system and history to do what she is doing.

Where are you Democrats that believe in doing the right thing? It is time to speak out if you have a shred of honor to defend.

Donny and Nancy need to cut to the chase and just kiss already.

Trump's obviously just going to give his speech somewhere else (probably rent out some arena or something like his campaign speeches) so all this back and forth stuff is just them jabbing at each other. Be interesting how this affects public opinion on the shutdown.

I read that they can't do the SOTU in the Senate Chambers because they're not big enough to hold all the Senators and Representatives (even just the GOP side)....but I've never been to DC so I don't know if that's true or not.

It would be highly entertaining if Trump tried to storm the House so here's hoping he goes with that option.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi informed President Donald Trump Wednesday that she would not allow him to deliver his State of the Union address.
Despite her invitation, a House resolution is required to authorize Trump’s State of the Union address in the House chamber. Pelosi sent a letter to the president informing him that she would not allow that resolution to take place.

Show the entire world what a spiteful, petty bitch you can be. She's being owned.

I think one of Trump's favorite tactics is to goad the left into outing themselves as to their true nature.

There was a report yesterday that the average dem congressman wants to vote on the resolution, but it's Pelosi that won't allow it to be voted on. Like I said earlier, her ass is hanging out there. This is all her..

No problem, Trump will just hold it somewhere else, somewhere better.

As for you Nancy, the remainder of your government flights under the Trump administration will be in the back of a C-130. Take your ear plugs.

Pelosi responded too quickly to this...She has no plan on what shes doing. You better believe Trump already knows his next move

I have said it before; Pelosi and Schumer, especially Pelosi, have more to fear from their base than they do the President. Especially Pelosi. Already she has moderate members of her caucus calling for her to give the President the money; they know it will get spent eventually so just give it already and move on. Then, you have the rowdy freshman led by America's cutest but dumbest Latina bartender and her two terrorist representing sidekicks from MI and MN. The Latina bartender is currently a media darling, and, while not very bright, it would be easy for the Republicans to work with her to start chanting the war drums to call for a more moderate speaker. Yes, I can imagine that happening.

Pelosi still hasn't figured out that President Trump is not like his predecessors so she is digging in and digging herself deeper. She can refer to the 800,000 people she claims the President is holding hostage all she wants. All he needs to do is trot out the Angel families, the trash in the desert, the crime from the tonks. Good grief, it was just a day or two ago where another tonk murdered four people in Nevada. The left wants to whine about family separation. How about they take a look at the permanent family separation the Angel families are experiencing because of their crass attitudes towards the American people.

Let me say it again: thanks to the childish petulance of Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, Americans continue to be held hostage, live in fear, and, die, all because they do not care about protecting the country.

"The State of the Union speech has been cancelled by Nancy Pelosi because she doesn’t want to hear the truth," Trump said. "She doesn't want the American public to hear what's going on."

"I don't believe it's ever happened before," Trump continued. "It's always good to be part of history, but this is a very negative part of history. This is where people are afraid to open up and say what's going on."

Trump caved last night.
...
Yes it appears that he did. I hope the Democrats are happy with the new way of doing business they have established. They better not complain when it is their elected President being dis-invited to the House for a SOTU.

What's that, "It 's not the same" you cry? You think honorable treatment of Democrats is a must but dishonorable treatment of Republicans is OK? You must believe the ends justifies the means.

I never thought to see the day that not one democrat spoke up for what was right. Winning for them has become more important than anything. Even if by winning they destroy the country. The new Nazi party has been born.

Nope. No cave to it. Yesterday, he publically dared her to say outright that she would block it and she did like the idiot that she is. As it was before, she ASKED him to postpone so it would be on him....he got her to pop off on it and cancel it. As he said, this ended 200 years of respected tradition over a topic that amounts to mothing. She's already got dems telling her to back down. She's too stupid to. She's the slinky and he just pushed her down the stairs. She has nothing else she can do besides play along and look stupid.

Not ten mins ago on CNN/HLN, one of them said this is going to be a bad one for the dems just like the harry reid democrat nuke option that has already lost them two SCOTUS fights. Pres Trump just forced pelosi and the dems to ante up again in a game they can't win. She's too stupid to know when to fold.

As I've said, Pres Trump has never been as strong as he is right now and he's never been in such an advantageous position.

Well technically they've only done it in the House Chambers since Roosevelt, so about 80ish years of tradition. And for the first 100ish years it was just a written report. But your point still stands...it's been a longstanding tradition.

The longer this shutdown goes on the worse it is for Trump. Especially since SCOTUS decided not to look at DACA since it takes away one of his bargaining chips. Every poll that's been done has shown Trump and the GOP taking the majority of the blame. If you're someone who trusts their "gut" on what the American public thinks over polls that's one thing but politicians look at polls and place value on them and the GOP congressmen see that this is not a good situation for them.

The problem is that politics and business are two different games. In business people are looking, in the end, to make a deal so they can all make money. In politics it seems the end game is to give as little as you can or to get the other side to look bad.

It isn't chess anymore, it is some other bizarre game where half the rules aren't written down and most of the players are playing side games.
