I am looking for some patches to put on specific patches like the IFAK, which is easy enough, but for navigation, fire, water, shelter, etc. I would love to find Velcro, but am not opposed to sewing like a scout patch. I found some larger than I like patches that are a little too blatant. The fire with matches one is okish. I just reaching out to see if others have some stuff they use and like. I know I can get custom word patches that say fire or what not. I ordered 3 from apocabox that say rescue urban and water, but that's all they have. I found one on maxpedition for fire kit. These are going to go on my kids bags so they know where to put stuff back and how to find it quickly if they ever need it so that's why I don't want a a big patch that says hey my kid has a way to start a fire on it. I am also going more the route of tactical molle pouches that can be stored in a vehicle or a place at work that are marked and I am getting back into training others on skills so it makes it a lot easier in a training environment to grab what I need.

Side note, I am a little bit tacticool fanboy when it comes to morale patches as well the family has afew on the ceiling of my truck so sharing any cool survival patches is welcome.

Wolf,

I do something similiar.

My IFAK is really part of a cargo vest and the first aid stuff also has some RX pharma. My dental kit is in another vest.
The philosophy I use is to seek label patches whereas symbol immediate provides the info.

My main reason is that all I deal with are not native English speakers.

My DDS vest and seperate pouch both have the cadusis with the "D". It's now somewhat universal in the world I live in.

.....

I understand and accept you are tacticool and into morale boosting.

I am very religious and display a multi color patch with a modified 23rd Psalm:

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow if death , ... ... for I am the ev

Try snappylogos.com They may have something that will work for you. I used them for Girl Scouts all the time when I was a leader. If I remember correctly, most are iron on, but I'd definitely add a few stitches as backup.
Hvm,

For a seperate document pouch on hurricane / typhone conversion charts and related stuff, I use the Girl Scouts "Hurricane Relief" patch with the spinning wind symbol.

Will be checking out snappy site soon.

I am very conservative with any patches. US flag in muted colors but, occasionally will put another on depending on mood. The only important patch is on my med pouch.
The bag(s) I am giving away will be the same with the exception of a custom Survivalistboards patch.

This right here is a huge win, I love the fact that they are cartoonish for children like. This snap of each is good, Cordage, landnav, cooking gear and shelter right there. My daughter has a cheap pink camo bug out bag and adding these will look just right, thank you!

Wolf,

I'm joining you in thanking Hvm.

I saw the site has a section titled "emergency response" or similiar. One of out folks will be doing some R&D for an anticipated order.

Name tape patches would do the trick, and can be ordered in subdued colors.
Yeah- Ranger Joes does nice milspec embrodery name tapes. Yellow on black tape works great on almost any color background. Bet there is a Sailor Bob or something like it near large navy bases. In both my work emergency response and in the VFD, we use them for labeling bags, espically GI tool bags. For example the wild fire rig has the following bags:
Chainsaw
Nozzle 1
Nozzle 2
Lights/ Strobe
First Aid
Helicopter
Tie downs/Tape
Water ( just to protect and seal 6 water bottles)

Anybody know a source for just the classic name tapes that will also ship to Canada and not charge an arm and a leg for them?

I have been looking for a while and cannot find an affordable option here in BC. A lot of the US sources either won't ship to Canada or charge wayyyyyy too much.

I have been wanting to shift to a name tape for pouches inside kits as, in the last decade or so, my packs and such have incorporated more and more identical pouches. Early on, my pouches were more individual to the task and have since evolved to a lot being the same type, similar sizes, and lots of the same color.

I am looking to buy large groups (50's in some cases, 20's in most) of several different things like "Security"," Hygiene", "Power", etc...
