I'd been toying around with the idea of doing a streaming webcam for my little urban homestead. Either just of the rabbits, or of the whole yard with the sky in the background so I could host it on wunderground as a weather cam. But I have no idea where to start as far as cameras that don't cost a fortune.

I don't want cc, obviously. It would need to be wireless too. Any suggestions?

I've been looking into something like this. There are companies that set up web sites for you to watch your house, pet or baby sitter from a website....for a fee. I'm looking into some of the sites that just use web chat cams. What I'd prefer is something that can't be pulled up off a site anyone can access. For cameras, the sell HD 'lipstick' cams (because they're 2" long and about .75" round) to people who put them on their motorcycles, mountain bikes, skateboards or other extreme sports uses. They're $30-60 but don't have a real wide field of view. I'm not sure if they broadcast a signal or if they need another unit. I'll keepchecking. Id want something just to check on things during the day.
