Thats my feeling too. Maybe he's hoping that by releasing this oil, the price might come down and heads might be cooler as we go into summer. I don't think its going to work since there still aren't any jobs being created, and food prices are increasing.

OPEC isn't going to be happy about the intervention. It's going to be interesting to see what happens. O and his Euro cohorts are late to the game on this one. Maybe if they did this when oil was topping out at $120/barrel, but now???? It's barely a drop in the bucket and will have little effect on pump prices. it just doesn't add up. Of course there's likely some hidden agenda, so we'll just have to wait and see what unfolds.

Obama knows he can not run on his record. But he can blow smoke with the best of them.
On a related note, more than one talking head on the TV has predicted that since Obama has no accomplishments to run on, the Democrats will slander, sling mud, and play the race card BIG time. And it was a black guy who predicted the race deal - Juan Williams.

After a knee jerk down move I believe this will cause oil to make new highs in the coming months. Everytime in the past when oil was released from the SPR oil made new highs soon after. What are these people thinking? I also believe Barry has motives and ties that we really don't know about. History will be how we find out how bad he really was for America. To me it seems like he is hellbent on doing the exact opposite of what a prudent man would do. I have never seen anything like this, ever. As far as that race card thing. I believe BHO has assured that a black man will not be elected as President anytime soon, No matter how qualified that person might be. I think most of the people that voted for him are regretting their vote. And If the Republicans can't come up with a real Candidate this country is done....... There was a time when I thought Colin Powell could have made a decent President. I still say we need Christie/Rubio in 2012.

It is so hard for me to believe that anyone would do something so dishonest just to get reelected. It's sure to cause lots of trouble down the road.

I'm not saying I disagree with you but It saddens me to think you're probably right.
