Here is the story:
A few months ago (maybe march?) I went to visit my 19 year old son where he lives in Elk Grove (Sacramento). We had lunch, did some other fun mom and son stuff. Strangest thing though when driving him back to his house in Elk Grove. We were stopped at a red light to go forward with one car in front of us, a really nice brand new, black car with one of those black license plates with Yellow lettering pulled up in the left turn lane beside the car in front of us.
Here is the strange part.... The license plate...it said...NO FOOD... That's it, no food. The car, driven by a nice looking Asian man. Not that that should mean anything by first glance. But given today's crisis's, then looking back on that event. I find it extremely odd.
Why would a person, any person have a license plate that says "NO FOOD"?
🤔 Makes you stop and think right?

I had a plate that said NOPEPSI. I worked for the competetion who frowned on driving blue vehicles. Still have the plate hanging in the garage.

My next plate was MYMCMXCV (My 1995) it was on my vette, and nobody ever got it.

that was 20 years ago when I wasn't so smart about where my money went. It's kind of embarrassing now, actually.

If you ask me personalized plated are a waste of money, that said if someone wants to waste their money on personalized plate who am I to say they shouldn't.

Probably been more accurate if instead of saying NO FOOD the plate said NO BRAINS or IDIOT...LOL

Ok is that really a thing? Like in the movies where bums rush up to wash your wind shield at stoplights?
Yeah. In OK the bums even try to sell flags and bibles they were more than likely given or stole.
And its not just intersections. Winter of 21, a lady was selling library books, in the library parking lot, for a buck. Her van was filled with Tulsa Co library books from dozens of branches, she was a regular book mobile - until I called the cops.
I hope she's enjoying the prison library. Turns out the van was stolen too.

I have never been to CA but have friends that are from there and it's a real thing. I have had it happen in Houston and Florida as well.

Served her right. The only thing I hate worse than a thief is a pedophile.

Maybe after buying a car in California and paying California rent ... he didn't have any money left for food. Makes perfect sense.

Yes, It's a thing.

Having traveled the world quite a bit for work, yes, it's a thing even more so outside of the US. They also guilt you into buying flowers. In India, they rent babies out to young women who run up to you at intersections and beat on your doors/windows for donations. They make more renting out the children than working. It's really a thing.

Bill Gaines, founder of Mad magazine and major roundboy, had the registration number of the Graf Zeppelin on his car. If someone came along and recognized it, he would cancel all appointments and spend the day talking Zeppelins. He tried to buy that building on the beach in NJ that was shaped like an elephant. he had a fat item fixation

Because I knew this, I had license plate GRX307D on my MGB. All MG race cars were street legal. GRX307D entered 320 races and finished 312. No car guy in California spotted that number in the 20 years I had it.
