Merry Christmas to you all!

Don't know if any of you are from Maine but for the record let me assure that not everyone here is a socialist and a great many of us are in full survival mode.

Looking forward to visiting this forum daily and getting to know you.

Regards, Raptor45

Welcome from Texas.

I just moved to Texas from Maine in Oct. I was living in Minot. Right outside of Lewiston/Auburn if you didnt know where that was.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing you around Maniac.

Thanks for the wrm welcomes... it is snowing like hell (as if that makes sense).

Yeah, I know where Minot is located & Bryunswick too; my son works with me and we work all over the state though business is a bit slow this time of year (we sorta linked to the real estate economy).

Like Florida, have some family in the keys and would love to flyfish in Idaho before I'm too old to do it but I pretty much stick to Maine even though it is chockerblock full of whacko libs.

all you guys from the south have me jealous; already plowed off the yard twice today... snow is a four letter word.

Working on preps around here is a daily activity; I have found that doing something everyday makes it seem like less of a chore and more of a lifestyle... for a long time I suppose I was in "panic mode" but now accept that preparedness as a lifestyle. Fortunately my immediate family is on board.

HEY LOBSTAH, bet we know some of the same people? Do you do any fishing, hunting or shooting? I'm a member at West Gardiner and Monmouth F&G.

Tugger, I'm bettin what we're gettin is headin your way... button up bud.

Hello and welcome! Maine looks like such a beautiful state. Never been there, just seen it on tv & the 'net. Seems like a great place to enjoy the outdoors.

Our license plates say, "vacationland"! It blows my mind how many people battle traffic to get here "from away" as we call it (mass people) just so they can spend the weekend! Guess that I'm lucky to be on vacation the moment I get done work ayup.

Welcome from Taxachusetts, Raptor. Snow = White Hell; I sincerely feel your pain at the weather we've been dealing with. Give it five minutes and it'll change, right?

Up here in White Mtns. NH we call those people M*******s (on account of their inconciderate driving habits). You see them plates every weekend and almost none during the week.

I know I just offended some Mass. folks. I appologize. Except for the way most of you drive, I have no complaints against all you flat-landers. Welcome to NH (please use the little stick to the left of your steering wheel, it lets people know your going to cut them off).

(I didn't know this site automaticly edits curses. Please insert the correct part of human anatomy.)

We used to all say Taxachussetts until the combined Federal, State and Local taxes in Maine rose well above the Mass rate.

Maine is a welfare state... for every $1 we "contribute" to the Feds we get more than $1.40 back! 1.2 million people and 190,000 depend on food stamps! I sure do hope our governor has been prepping but I doubt it.

When one of every six people depends on food from the government your biggest threat to personal secuity is your neighbor.
