Hey all,

I have 2 cherry trees in the church parking lot behind my house that hang over in my yard. A gold variety and a red/purple variety, Ive never really seen the gold but the red/purple look like regular cherries. Is there anyway to tell if they are good? Or should I just throw caution to the wind and eat one.

Always been cautious about random fruit ever since reading "The Hatchet" when I was younger.

Thanks for any advice you could give this urban scavenger.

Ask someone at the church. Though they may not be using the fruit, it does belong to them.

Im not sure the Church even know they exist. It doest look like them or the other trees on the back of the parking lot have ever been maintained. Its a large parking lot (foot ball field sized) and its across the street so I dont think any of the church employees even go over here.
