The Wise Women Group Invitation Thread:
http://www.survivalistboards.com/sho...d.php?t=284493

As someone else mentioned, we're having a hard time seeing new messages posted in this group, especially if you're subscribed to a lot of threads.

I thought if we can just 'bump' this thread when we post something, it will be much easier to keep an active conversation going as we'll be able to see the title in our control panel.

Note: This is not my original idea - if whomever mentioned doing something like this would post a quick 'it was me' - I (and I'm sure others) would sure like to thank you for it. My apologies for not remembering who came up with it.

Thread Rules:

1) Like Vegas: what happens in the group, stays in the group.

2) Simply post the minimum characters required so this thread will register a new post.

3) Do not post anything about the topics in the group.

4) When all else fails, refer to Rule #1.

Simply subscribe to this thread to have it appear in your User CP.

I think it is fine as long as everyone remembers that what happens in a social group stays in that social group. Don't accidentally 'out' someone's post. :xeye: Since this is a private invitation only group, I would think it would be best if the announcement is general - 'check for new posts' or if it is made by the person who posted. Don't mention any topics or information about the particular post or thread in the group. :)

Enjoy.

Maybe I didn't explain correctly...

I ONLY posted the direct link to the group so that when you see the 'New Wise Women post' in your User CP, you can simply click on it and then click through directly to the group itself to then see what was posted... with the assumption that unless you're a member, you can't see/access any of the threads/posts anyway.

What I meant by 'bump' this thread was exactly that... post nothing more than a simple "bumpity bump" ... just enough characters that it will actually let you post (I think it's 10?) ... absolutely no mention of anything further, no topic - no nothing.

Mel - if I need to add this to the original post, let me know.

Naw. speaking of which, I am so glad I work while daytime TV is on.
There were some ladies, I mean females bumping their hiney's to bounce a basket of peaches out onto the floor. For real. Some of them didn't even do it very well. Not sure I could, but I ain't doin it on national TV either.
Hubby left the TV on, and I was on the floor bending wires to hang some lights. Otherwise Ida missed that peach of a show.
