Savage is joining the overcrowded 1911 market. Looks nice and has a number of features.

IF they make their new Browning Hi-power clone in 10MM or .40, and in stainless, I might overlook their recent bit of backstabbing and their insanely outrageous prices.

MIGHT. I still want another M-1A, but not at two grand a copy. I'll just get a DSA FAL and be done.

Two things - Love me some Savage, love me some 1911s, and LOVE ME these 1911s... they look AWESOME IMHO...

Two questions though - Are we sure they're made in the USA or are they some Tisas-like Turkish deal? And two, is the $1500 price *confirmed? Because that's a little high, basically Springfield TRP ... Nevermind, it's on their website, actually the one I like is $1,349 ... and I had no idea Savage made pistols ... any info on these Stance carry pistols?

But I really like it ... right up my alley. Wish I had more $$$ lol.

The Stance was original made and sold by Honor Defense and was branded the Honor Guard 9mm pistol. Which in and of itself was a partial clone of the original S&W Shield 1.0 9mm. Honor Defense either went under or simply sold the design to Savage, who in turn pimped up the asthetics a little bit and released it as the Stance. I don't think there is anything wrong with it, but it doesn't really offer much in comparison to its competition.
