I'm not sure why some of these companies take a firearm that has a tried and proven platform and try to add all of this foolishness to them. If I want an older styled firearm I will purchase one. If I want a modern firearm I will buy one. Melding the two together makes no sense to me other than to manufacture something that won't sell very much and only to people that like strange looking firearms but will probably never really use them much.

Here is a page from Cherry's Guns. The prices for othe Drop Tine rifles is running around $2100 and up. At 8.4 pounds it sounds like they are taking a page from the book of Henry rifle weights.

Actually I consider a lever gun with a scope rather odd both functionally and estheticaly. Would never put a scope on my marlin 30-30, its a terrific brush gun as is with peep aperture sights.
I have a peep on my Winchester 94, 30-30, even with my old eyes, it works !

Looks cheap to me. And the scope . Shouldn't put a scope on a lever gun, just doesn't look right. Almost like putting one on a musket. Lever guns are meant to be knock around guns, you stick 'em in a saddle scabbard, they get rained on, bear shoves it up... well never mind.

Well, there you go. This is a modern firearm.

I think they look just fine. But then, these are actual rifles that shoot full power pointed bullet modern ammo instead of a pistol round or a black powder leftover cartridge…..so a scope makes sense.
Mine is a 300 Savage.

My SIL has a 30-06 like this one…

i’m with you there. I get that those with poor vision need to see what they’re shooting at but it just seems so out of place to put a scope on a lever gun. I’d rather have some sorta aperture/peep sight

Interesting gun and design. My first firearm was a 30.30 Winchester my dad bought me for Christmas when I was 12 or 13. Loved it. If I were to buy another 30.30 ... it would be a Henry.
