Self-explanatory, it converts the heat into energy. Unless it's a joke. Their marketing team needs help if it's not.

I can't see a picture but it sounds like a thermoelectric generator. In a nut shell, it generates electricity when there is a temperature differential on the two sides of the module. Fire acts as the hot side and the water as the cold side and heatsink. You can buy the TEG modules and DIY or you can get ready made stuff from this place - http://www.tegpower.com/
