Was banging around on Mountain house website and found six new #10 can varieties 1 cheesy pepperoni pizza bowl $65 2 andouille pork sausage slices $95 3 chicken and dumplings $68 4 chicken and mashed potatoes $71 5 chicken fajita bowl $80 6 chorizo breakfast scramble $81. Obviously wicked expensive but new products and we all know there will be a sale at a steep discount. I believe in mountain house quality and long shelf life and look forward to adding a few cases when money allows during a sale. Just fyi people

The chicken and mashed potatoes used to be sold in pouches. Pretty good, the chicken was rehydrated, pulled out if you wanted, and instant mashed potatoes dumped in. I like the beef patty one better.

Chicken fajita bowl has been available in pouches for some time.

No one needs to pay list for MH. 25% off sales are common, and MH will offer more than that. We bought 3 1 year pallets of pouch mealskant work at I think 40% off. Way too much drama in storing MREs with a union workforce and been counters scared of the IRS, and lawsuits if we donate about to expire meals.

I have been bugging them (and other FD companies) to put out a sliced Andouille #10 can for years... now MH finally has but the price is a bit outrageous. The price will come down if the other FD companies start offering their version of it.

I will eventually get some, even if it is a high price because having some andouille sausage jambalaya when SHTF is a comfort I am willing to pay a little more for.

Now I need to start emailing them to make #10 cans of alligator chunks, shrimp, crawfish, and frog legs....

I like Andouille sausage as well, but for some reason, I never thought about freeze-drying it until now. I'll have to try it and see how they turn out

I see MH sliced them very thin, so hopefully it's not one of those things that requires commercial freeze drying.
