Thanks folks for the warm welcome! I got lots to learn, but feel pretty good where I stand. Finances are in order. Kids are my biggest expense. I have decent weapons experience, and feel proficient with them. Practice when I can. My stockpile of ammo is fair, you never can have enough though. Food stuffs, I feel ok on, but again, I need more, and do a better job rotating it, so none gos to waste. I am 90% done with a BOB, only a decent lightweight tent, is now needed. You can, never can have enough, so I have started a couple of day packs.

I go hunting/camping when I can, again, I should do more. Fuel storage is ok, but I need a better solution than the cans I am using. Water, I have local access, but I keep a decent amount on hand, JIC.

I'd like to learn more skills, learn to hunt with a cross bow/bow/sling-bow, learn more about long term storage of food. And grow more of my own stuff. Solar and wind power are also interesting to me. Space and time is a premium, but these are my goals.
