i mentioned I.E.D'S on another posting & you would have through i had promoted child porn--people stated anything used for them would be illegal to have?learned about I.E.D'S in military[they were called field expedient devices]--maybe i should have called them early warning devices[more P.C]--wasn't talking about WMD's here--force mulipiler--limited personnel use any means you can--maybe i was confused about protecting family

As interesting as things that go 'boom' are, and as much potential utility as they have in the hands of a properly trained, mature individual, the decision to disallow their discussion on this forum is almost certainly a legal issue. Being the owner of a forum that disseminates knowledge of explosives isn't for the faint of heart.

All it would take for this site to be shut down permanently would be for one of the many underage readers to do something stupid or dangerous and say he or she learned it on here. The knowledge is available online and in chemistry texts already for those that can understand them--posting it on this forum is just asking for problems.

Yes it was removed. Forum rules prohibit posting any information about making bombs or other types of explosives.

Oh man, did you never know of totse.com? Now defunct (because Jeff Hunter decided to 'do something new with his life') but for 20+ years, it was first a dialup BBS in the '90s, then was one of the first sites to appear on the then-new Web... Totse appeared in the news headlines several times, linked to things like small-time bomb attacks, the disgusting 3rd-World phenomenon referred to as "Jenkem" (Totse's version was later claimed to be a hoax), and reprogramming of electronic freeway signs.

Through it all, JEFF NEVER WAVERED, NOR DID HE EVEN CONSIDER SHUTTING DOWN.

Again, I point to the previously mentioned example (NOT a violation of this site's rules, since the site is now defunct) to note that there were MANY illegal things done by the Totse community, almost all of which reflected badly on the site -- each time Jeff stood firmly on 1st Amendment grounds, and each time Jeff came away the victor.

Now THAT was a Webmaster... They just don't build 'em like that anymore.

That stinks. Is it against the rules to ask that someone please send me that file? I am all about following the rules on this site, but something that could potentially save my life, family, or defend my home is to me very important.

Email would be fine, or a pm to a link where I can get it from an alternative site perhaps? I realize why we have the rule, its to protect this forum from legal back lash. Which I understand.
