I have a Romanian Romak post ban 991. It was a low cap with 5 and 10 rnd mags. I have done the double stack conversion and made it 922 compliant with a tapco trigger, tactical furniture, and stainless steel piston. But I want to add a muzzle brake to it. The muzzle had a muzzle nut and is too small for the 14:1 LH threads (they barely cut into the muzzle). So my next option is to go with the 1/2-20 RH thread. Does anyone know where I can get the die and muzzle brake in that thread type. I have looked and can't seem to find any. Or should I just leave it be?

You can always get a collar or shim and get the muzzle brake you want welded on to the thing.

There is an adaptor that is avaiable.
The sleve fits over the barrel and it threaded.
You simply tac-weld this sleeve to the front sight, and you are good to go.
You can thread the larger dia. muzzle things onto this.

An AK supplier in Winslow AZ sells these.

Met them at the gunshow in Vegas a few weeks back.
Saw them selling these adaptors.

And they have other stuff to do the job.

I couldn't find a website.
But they are legit.
They have a big, big booth at all the western gunshows.

Just give them a call and describe your problem.
When I was at their booth, the guy before me had the exact same deal going on with his AK.
Joe (from this company) took a package off the display with the correct part.
And that was that.
