Hello! This marks my first post in what I believe will be a long standing relationship with the world of survivalists of all types! So here goes... I was foraging this weekend up in the Sierra Nevada mountains near Kennedy Meadows and found some Celery Weed or Lomatium californicum. I have heard that in the spring time the leaves are very edible and have also read that the plant is edible itself. When I sampled it it was very bitter, which I am assuming is a sign of it's maturity due to late summer. Can anyone in CA or with knowledge of this confirm or deny my findings?I appreciate the assistance.
