"Cannot" and "willnot" Are self imposed limitations.... Why limit yourself?
Exactly!

And this applies to pretty much everything , as you pointed out. Still, some people dont want to hear, that its "them" thats the problem, no matter how easy it is to fix, and/or what they may gain from it..

do you have any idea how much of a difference just a single degree difference in your point of aim makes on the impact the bullet has even as close as 25 yards?, a couple degrees is incredibly significant at those distances
If youre not aiming, but who point shoots at 25 yards? At realistic point shooting distances, its a non issue, as youll still hit the target in basically the same spot, especially if you spent any real time previously with the gun in question.

Youre blowing this way out of proportion, and its obvious, you have no real experience with the subject to know what youre talking about. If you did, we wouldnt still be going over it.

Go try it for yourself, and get back to us.

6'3" 200 lbs... Far from good shooter, can pick up any of my 4 glocks and shoot decent 10-20 foot. Also with any of my 1911's in mulitiple calibers from .22-.45-10mm:

My 5'3" 100 lb girlfriend who shoots once a year MAYBE, can shoot just as good with any of these weapons as me. On target at 20 ft, lethal in my eyes. The engineering is in the weapons... If you cant adjust for a few degrees of grip angle or ergonomics in a modern handgun, you simply weren't cut out to make it and need a new hobby. They're all so good now, some more than others. God forbid anyone kearned some fundamentals before bitching. Love this biatd

Also... "LEO turn ins"?! Go talk to your local armorer about that glock that deputy "smith" carried for 4 years without cycling except once a year at quals... No thanks. Spend the extra hundo and get a new one or one from a local gun store that might at least have a 30 day guarantee. But hey, it's your life not mine.

whether youre aiming or not, a gun that naturally points towards your target is also one that more easily and naturally lines up with the sights too.. it makes shooting quicker and more accurate whether youre point shooting or not, and for self defense i practice a lot of single-handed point shooting since being able to get a two handed grip and aim a shot is a luxury when moments count

the problem here is i couldnt give two ****s what pistol you use.. but the glock fanboys seem to take it as some personal insult and get all butthurt whenever someone decides they do not like or want a glock.. this is what some people need to get over.. this level of idol worship that actually leaves glock fanboys borderline OFFENDED if you dont buy the same pistols as them

As usual, youre missing the point. Nothing "natural" happens with any of them. It doesnt matter what the gun is (just happens, everyone seems to like to bitch about Glocks), a "short" while shooting it, and the grip angle thing goes away. If you use the sights, its a moot point.

If you'd give it a try, you'd understand this. Or, you can keep bitching. :)

A friend of mine bought a Glock in .45 GAP from a shop that supposedly a hwy. patrolman had.. he took it out to try it out and it wouldn't fire, had to have it worked on. what if he had carried it figuring it good to go and needed it, not a good thing... i've had my Gen 2 model 23 for 20 yrs. great gun... the grip is a little fat, but i shoot it well. now i just got a Gen 4 model 17. with 17 147 gr. rounds the gun is a little heavy. the more i handle it the better it feels. the new texture is aggressive and very non slip.. with the 4 backstrap add ons, i wish the back of the grip was reduced by 1/8" so that the new add ons could be utilized if wanted. they are not needed unless one has large hands. the more i handle the gun the better it feels. looking forward to shooting it to find out how much more pleasant it is to shoot than the .40 cal. at PSA i looked at a few pistols that felt better, but got the Glock because it is a great gun in my opinion... i read articles of the torture tests on these guns and they survived a lot of tried destruction and remained reliable. the magazines are tough also. the guns don't rust so don't need much attention. they shoot and shoot without having to keep them lubricated much and will usually feed anything run through them. the Gen 4 guns come with 3 mags. also the cost is reasonable as the price hasn't changed much except a for a few models...

I'm not a brand loyalist. Mainly because I have found (as others above) that mechanics of handling a firearm are the reason I shoot well. All the firearm needs to be is reliable. If it does what is expected, the onus of the results is dependent upon he/she who is handling the firearm.

My wife bought me a G26 for xmas years ago and it is a great pistol. My SigPro 2022 w/ 20K+ rounds through it is a great pistol. Both because they do what I expect them to do. Go bang and re-load. Nothing more.

When a firearm becomes some sort of extension of someone's identity, it ceases to be a tool and it becomes an extension of their vanity. That's not my kind of thing. A firearm is a tool. Just put the tools on the bag and go to work.

"operators" only use glocks

Oh, and as far as this goes, ts spot on, and why you try to experience and learn to use as many as you possibly can, so you are more well rounded.

And as always, it aint the guns fault if you cant shoot it well. :thumb:

why does it get your feathers so ruffled when someone is experienced and knows how to use a glock, but prefers something else?.. its like you cant even comprehend the concept of someone preferring something different than you

You dont seem to comprehend that it isnt about "one gun".

I couldnt care less what you use, you have to live with it, not me. The only reason the Glock keeps coming up, is because all you want to do, is bitch about it.

Zing! Did you feel that? Come on now, you had to! It was so close to the top of your head, it made your hair move. I mean, really, right over your head! :)

that I can pick one up point it at a target and have holes more or less hit

we're talking the NRA standard 8 1X2 - 11 typing sheet at 21 feet here.

I don't even particularity like Glock

I have the same malady - pick up a Glock 19 or 26, shoot a target, & put em all into a decent group. My FN Hi Powers do the same.

Can also do that with my 1911's if they decide to work that day...:taped::taped:
