I hesitate to put it down but it is legit, I walked 3.5 miles with the wife while I was waiting for my granddaughter in her swimming lessons.

As always the evening ended with ab wheel

Walking is legit.....

I'm on the three day rotation, as long as life doesn't interfere....

Day #1 - Walk
Day #2 - Walk
Day #3 - Full Body Lift

So yeah... I am going to post my walk data, as staying on this board is keeping me motivated and accountable. Sometime when I don't want to walk, I do it anyway.... as I don't want to NOT post on my thread.

Excellent Big_John, that's good, you do the work, own it and post it, I like that idea!

On that note, I had an all day meeting do that blew my workout plans, so Momma and I walked 4 miles.

I admit, I never really cared for the walk, but I do like the time to just be us and talk. With Big_Johns influence I'm getting to where I look forward to it.

Hopefully I can get in a workout tomorrow, my sons is off and wants to hit it, so, I'm going to do my best to do just that. :thumb:

Chet/back day today, it sucked..... I was in meetings all day, didn't eat right, hydration wasn't good, mentally I was out of it...we tried anyway, but it was a token day.

Warm ups X2

Flat bench barbell press
135X10X2 sets
225X10
270X3X3 sets (my sons target weight for this week)

It was pretty easy, so I waited to lift when he wasn't looking because it was kicking his butt. He got sets of 2, but couldn't get the 3rd)

Flat bench one arm dumbbell press
60X10
70X10
80X10
90X10
100X10
100X8X2 sets He kicked my butt here, he got 10 reps all the way thru.

Cable flyes
5X10 varied the weight climbing as we went

Legs day today, and I'm feeling much better with no meetings and some regularity to my eating and drinking.

500X20X5 sets Pretty easy, nice to be back in the groove..

Seated leg curl

Walked 3 miles, and will most likely walk more with momma later, but that's okay, because it will all but assure that I'll be pain free tomorrow.

I did a medium bench today since I turn 62 tomorrow, I thought why not pop up 315 just for grins. Piece of cake...:thumb:

Chest/Back day today, I changed things up a bit, my son wasn't around to work his routine so I kept part of it, and went off on a tangent for some too.

Warm ups X2

Flat bench, barbell press
135X10X2 sets
225X10
285X2X3 sets, per my sons program
225X10

Decline bench, barbell press
225X10
275X5X5 sets This felt easy, but different, so I didn't push it too much.

Couldn't get a bench to do dumbbell presses

Pulldowns, narrow "V" handle
150X10X2 set
180X10X4 sets

Pulldowns, wide straight bar
180X10X2 sets
210X10X 2 sets

Roman chair
4X10

Somewhat of an easy day, not tired or anything, just taking it easy for a day.

Happy Birthday two days late! Sorry I missed it. I'm counting on you to try out 62 and give me a heads up as you move through it. You're about seven months ahead of me, so you should be able to give me an in-depth report! :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

So far 61 was not a good year, I'm hoping for better this year! I've got to set some goals, no idea what to aim for yet, but I expect that to change sometime during the year, hopefully on a roll!

Big_John has made some great progress we've got to go some to keep up!

It was one of those days today, to start it off I forgot my workout gear, then one issue after another at work, so, instead of getting in a good workout I went in with my work clothes on and did a few sets of arms and went home to do my Ab wheel.

Warm ups X2

Standing dumbbell curs
30X10
40X10
50X10X3 sets

I feel really strange dressed in office attire lifting weight, much less starting to sweat so I went home. My son is off tomorrow so we'll re-do chest to stay with his routine and hopefully I'll be able to finish my arm work. It was better than nothing at all.

Supposed to be a makeup day for arms today, it turned into, not a bust, but, a light week(?), at least I did get one workout with my son in, that's good..

285X2X3 sets (a duplicate of earlier, but this is my sons cycle)
315X1 just for grins

Seated dumbbell curls

60X5X4 sets, felt pretty good, not that hard.

My grandsons were there so things were cut short being that no childcare was offered today. It was fun their reactions to watching us lift. "Pa Pa, what are you doing!?" lol, it was funny...

Friday was a bit of a slower day, I cut back a bit mainly due to time, but then again the shorter days have gotten the jump on me, I've got to get more lights on.

Got in early today, it's chest back day, and the plan is to workout with my son Friday, doing chest of course, so I did things a little different today.

Warm ups X2

Flat bench dumbbell press
50X15 10 reps with a parallel hold, then 5 single arm, on each side, before setting anything down.
60X15 Same
70X15 Same
80X15 Same
90X15 Same
100X10 15 is not happening today

Decline bench
135X10
225X10
275X5X3 sets, it's been a while since I did these regularly, they feel great.

Pulldowns, wide straight bar
125X10X2 sets
150X10X3 sets
175X10X3 sets

Arms day today, my left shoulder is a bit troublesome soI avoided a few exercises that caused some minor discomfort. I think the most of it came from sleep, since I slept hard and on that side, when I got up this morning my left shoulder was uncomfortable.. Nothing but a thing, it will soon pass.

Warm ups X2

1 set of standing dumbbell curls to pump up my biceps for tricep work

Tricep pushdowns, rope handle

Switched handles to wider "V" bar

I did a lot of sets there because close grips wren't comfortable

I did chest today, minus back, I'll have to pick that up next week. I was supposed to workout with my son but he had to work so that didn't work out. Hopefully we'll re-group next week and workout some more.
