I got in a light workout today, I had wanted to go heavy, but it till be a week before I'm back in, so, I'm doing a little something to get me prepped for the return, and one final push towards yearly goals.

Warm ups X2

TBDL's
135X10
225X10
315X5
365X5X5 sets dead stop at the bottom. I feel guilty since I used straps, I usually don't, but my wife cleaned out my car and didn't put my chalk back in it...

TBDL carry or farmers walk, I carry the loaded trap bar as far as I can.
365# X 43 steps, it wasn't as bad as I expected, but, once again I had straps, I cheated...

Ab wheel
3X10

walked a mile, with one lap, carrying the 50# kettlebells

Finally made it back today, I've only got one more week of schedule craziness then I after a brief respite and I'll get back to some normalcy.

Warm ups X2

TBDL (I was hoping for some big number today, but my system wan't up to it)
135X10
225X10
315X5
365X5
405X5
455X1
475X1/2 a no go, the strength was/is there but my mind wan't in it..

Farmers walk with TBDL bar and 385# (the weight was up because I thought I grabbed 25's, but got 35's instead) bumpers are sometimes hard to read...but I like the way it turned out!
42 steps.

I forgot to add in dumbbell floor press
60X10X2 sets
80X10
100X8X3 sets. Eight was all I could do, floor presses are tough stopping on the bottom, especially after a lack of chest work!

Ab wheel
3X10

Walked a mile, with one lap being with the 50# kettle bells.

185X10X2

Pulldowns, wide straight bar
180X10X2 sets

Ab wheel

315X5

425X5X3 sets. This felt surprisingly easy

TBDL carry
365X50 steps I made sure the plates were right this time, I thought about going with 385, but I'm glad I didn't the 50 steps were about the limit.

210X10, 9, 8, 7 (4 sets)

Ab wheel
3X10

My mixed up schedule is finally over, and I'm really looking forward to getting back to some normalcy, but now I've got to get my hernia repaired so there'a another 6-8 weeks down...🥵 Oh well, this year is retirement year so I'll take it.

Warm ups X2

Single arm, flat bench, dumbbell presses
50X10
60X10
70X10
90X10
100X10
100X8X2 sets. I was hoping for more here, but got what I expected, with all the neglect I've given chest the past few months.

Incline, single arm, cross body, triceps extensions (going over the opposite shoulder to touch the bench)
30X15
35X10X3 sets

TBDL
135X10
225X10
315X5
385X1 with hold at the top. (I held it for 50 seconds)

Ab wheel
3X10

Walk 1 mile, 1 lap with the 50# kettlebells

I wanted to go to the gym today, but I got my hernia fixed instead (from the prostate surgery), so now I'm out for 8 weeks.

With my newly found free time I, started reading 44 Flattop's book "The Chase". I'm 200 pages in, and have to say Outstanding, a great read. Emerson Boyd is a Hero for men everywhere to look up too. Well done Sir.

Thank you, Jo! It's a fantastic story and bit of a tearjerker toward the end. I really love this book. Em is a heckuva man, isn't he? Someone we can all look up to and only hope to be.

I hope you heal quickly, or I'm going to kick your butt in the trapbar deadlift!

Hey 44 FT, is there a thread to talk abut your books? I finished the last 2, loved them both, although, I have to say I'm partial to Emerson and Anna.

Just got word from the doc today that I'm out of the gym until 2/26 .

Man that sucks, oh well, at least I'll be issue free and ready to rock!

Sorry to hear about news from your doc. Hope to hear you get the okay to train again very soon. Otherwise, I'm gonna knock that 500lb goal before superman gets a chance to hit it first!

No, no thread...YET! I'd love it if you happened to start one and it got some replies. Why don't you see what you can do!

How did the stitching go?
No issues that I noticed. The three incisions on my right side are still itchy, and somewhat tender, more so than I expected at this point, but appear to be okay.

I really worry about the repair site, checking it multiple times daily, I don't want that blowing out again.
