Depending on how much of a hike or day in the woods this is what I always carry.
Milbank bag (filters dirty colored water)
Msr Miniworks
Miniworks repair kit
Sweetwater Chlorine drops (not in photo)
Msr Camelback
Nalgene bottle

I like since its only a day pack you dont need that much i think waht you have is good enough just throw in a extra pair of clothes with multiple pairs of socks, socks are beyond important.

Ive had wet cold feet before. Your right about the socks I should add some pairs. In the summer I usually carry an extra light jacket sometimes its cold at the top.
