10 minutes just to explain that the original Hebrew supposedly had the word "mem chet mem dalet" in Song of Solomon 5:16?

Perhaps you could condense it for us? 9:52 is a little long. Book and verse?

I've never understood the Muslim take on the "Injil". If it is "tahrif", what good is it? How do you pick the fly poop out of the pepper, and distinguish what is correct, and what is corrupt? Using the Qu'ran as the measuring stick is circular logic.

I have the same beef with the LDS and the BOM.

Song of Solamon 5:16 His mouth is most sweet; Yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.

See my above post.
From the Septuagint:

pharugx autou glukasmoi kai olos epithumia outos adelphidos mou kai outos plēsion mou thugateres ierousalēm
Which Jerome translated as

guttur illius suavissimum et totus desiderabilis talis est dilectus meus et iste est amicus meus filiae Hierusalem
translation:

His throat most sweet, and he is all lovely, such is my beloved, and he is my friend, O ye daughters of Jerusalem.

I don't know Hebrew, but apparently, this theory revolves around the Hebrew word, "machmad" which Muslims take as referring to Muhammed.

This is good:

So, can Machmad signify Muhammad? Wise men allow that when one verse is in doubt it is justified to explain one passage of the Bible by another. The word machmad appears twelve more times in the Old Testament. Since Muslims are so intent on finding the name of Muhammad in the Hebrew word "machmad," it is important that they remain consistent. Therefore, we have printed these twelve prophetic verses below and leave it to you to ascertain whether they fit. Note that we have been consistent in now translating this word as the long-neglected "proper noun" which they claim it to be.

1 Kings 20:6: "Yet I will send my servants to thee tomorrow about this time, and they shall search thy house, and the houses of thy servants; and it shall be, [that] whatever is Muhammad in thy eyes, they shall take [it] in their hand, and carry [it] away."

2 Chronicles 36:19: "And they burnt the house of God, and broke down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all its palaces with fire, and destroyed all its Muhammad vessels."

Isaiah 64:11: "Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned with fire: and all our Muhammad things are laid waste."

Lamentations 1:10: "The adversary hath spread out his hand upon all her Muhammad things: for she hath seen [that] the nations entered into her sanctuary, whom thou didst command [that] they should not enter into thy congregation."

Lamentations 1:11: "All her people sigh, they seek bread; they have given their Muhammad things for food to relieve the soul: see, O LORD, and consider; for I am become vile."

Lamentations 2:4: "He hath bent his bow like an enemy: he stood with his right hand as an adversary, and slew all [that were] Muhammad to the eye in the tabernacle of the daughter of Zion: he poured out his fury like fire."

Ezekiel 24:16: "Son of man, behold, I take away from thee the Muhammad of thy eyes with a stroke: yet neither shalt thou mourn nor weep, neither shall thy tears run down."

Ezekiel 24:21: "Speak to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the excellence of your strength, the Muhammad of your eyes, and that which your soul pitieth; and your sons and your daughters whom ye have left shall fall by the sword."

Ezekiel 24:25: "Also, thou son of man, [shall it] not [be] in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the Muhammad of their eyes, and that on which they set their minds, their sons and their daughters." Hosea 9:6: "For, lo, they are gone because of destruction: Egypt shall gather them up, Memphis shall bury them: the Muhammad [places] for their silver, nettles shall possess them: thorns [shall be] in their tabernacles."

Hosea 9:16: "Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay [even] the Muhammad [fruit] of their womb."

Joel 3:5: "Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my Muhammad things."

If this mutilation of Scripture seems to you ridiculous, it is meant to be as it shows the quality of the theory behind such an idea.

Kinda surprised they'd want Muhammed to be associated with a book that basically sounds like a nasty pornographic poem. Just from that same chapter:

5:4 My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels were moved for him.

I take it to mean something in a religious context( a religious item, a religious value, a religous idea).

You see what you want to see.....obviously it was the window or latch hole or some doors were in two parts , so one can open the top half( Dutch door) and it was the heart that was moved......Beloved is the key. Now if it was a Bear or MTN lion or Mongol Heathen, maybe their bowels were moved.:thumb:

You're right... Song of Solomon isn't pornographic at all.

1:13 ...he shall lie all night betwixt my breasts

2:3 ...I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.

2:6 His left hand is under my head, and his right hand doth embrace me.

4:5 Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins

4:16 Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits.

6:8 There are threescore queens, and fourscore concubines, and virgins without number.

7:1 ...the joints of thy thighs are like jewels

7:2 Thy navel is like a round goblet, which wanteth not liquor: thy belly is like an heap of wheat set about with lilies.
7:3 Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins.

7:7 This thy stature is like to a palm tree, and thy breasts to clusters of grapes.

8:3 His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.

8:8 We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts:

8:10 ...my breasts like towers

Ok, I admit that I didn't watch the video, but logically, how could Muhammed be in the bible?

He lived in the 7th century A.D. The bible was compiled in the 4th century (and written no later than the 2nd century).

Maybe I'm missing something...

This is just a wild attempt for Islam to try to convert Christians. Pathetic attempt in my opinion.

Islam has a lot of "self-validating" scripture.

It's really pathetic how they are reaching so hard to try to validate their satanic scriptures written by a pedophilic murderer.

Actually in ancient Hebrew culture the bowls were the center of love, not like the wester world and the heart. So when some ones bowels were moved they were saying they felt love for them:D: Also whats so nasty about sex between a husband and a wife. They are married they can get as freaky as the want!!!!!
Also I dont think pornographic means what you think it does, Porno is about emotionless unattached sex, This book is about love and intimacy. It would be considered erotica more than anything.

You know the Hebrew metaphors and analogy's have allways interested me. So totally foreign to the western style of writing and thinking.

I didnt watch the video either, frankly the the fact that someone actually took the time to post it reenforces my thinking and that is, who cares, I mean really who gives a god damn about some dude named Mohammed being named in the big book of BS. I mean come on now, how many more times is it gonna be rewritten, altered, reinterpreted, etc.. for the next generation of fools who follow the fairy tales written by who the hell knows. Sooooo tell me someone, why the hell is Xmas in December when this dude named Christ supposedly died in march, kinda confused. also can anyboy give me a reason why the whole worlds economy is effected around this time of year? My guess, a gimmick most people aren't willing to accept as such so they just keep feeding the giant. Funny actually to go to stores and watch all robots running around trying to fill their baskets with so many senseless items, empty their wallets and for what, all in the name of helping to ballancing big business and government deficits. Wow wake the F up people.

First of all, we're reading a translated version in English, not Hebrew... and there's plenty of other verses that show that bowels were in fact physical intestines:

2 Chronicles 21:15 And thou shalt have great sickness by disease of thy bowels, until thy bowels fall out by reason of the sickness day by day.

2 Samuel 20:10 But Amasa took no heed to the sword that was in Joab's hand: so he smote him therewith in the fifth rib and shed out his bowels to the ground

Numbers 5:22 And this water that causeth the curse shall go into thy bowels, to make thy belly to swell, and thy thigh to rot:

Job 30:27 My bowels boiled, and rested not: the days of affliction prevented me.

Also whats so nasty about sex between a husband and a wife. They are married they can get as freaky as the want!!!!!
Nobody even knows who "Song of Solomon" was about... much less if they were married. You're just assuming that they are.

English -- You make my heart pound so hard, I love you
Ancient Hebrew my bowels move for you, I love you

Wouldn't it be hard for someone who exist some 670 years after the authoring of the new and 3,000 years after the old to be in it by name? Just a question.
