Some of us have a far more complete knowledge of the Muslim expansion of the Middle East, Northern Africa, Eastern Europe, Spain and Southern France to believe that ****. Why do you think the Catholic church invaded the holly land in the first place? Because Islam had become the religion of death.

The males captured could be forced to become Janizeers (sp?) - fighters for them - or as was the more usual treatments, they could be killed on the spot (usually by beheading), forced to convert to Islam, kept as slaves, have their eyes gouged out and kept as slaves, or ransomed back.
It was only through the force of arms by the US Navy and Marine Corps - after paying a fortune in ransom to get so many innocent captured people back - that this nonsense ended. For those of you, who did not know where the line in the Marine Hymn, "
