Couldn't watch the clip= my downloads limit is kicking in.

Brave bugger. Given the shortened life expectancy and increased risk of dementia that folks with Downs often have, he's running a bit of a risk.

Good on him though.

Used to work with young adults and teens with Downs, they were usually amazingly strong compared to someone else the same size. I would not like to get hit by him.....

So inspiring thank you for sharing. I have the opportunity to coach special Olympics athletes(basketball/baseball) and must say this reminds me why I chose the line of work that I did. And props to the guy who actually let that fighter experience a real fight.

Saw it a while ago.... finding an opponent for this guy must be next to impossible because 1) most guys wouldn't feel right hitting someone with his disabilities and 2) no one wants to be "that fighter" that lost to the guy with downs syndrome. So both those issues put any opponent he has in a very tough situation before, during and after the fight.

Hes definitely an admirable and tough guy. Does what he wants to do despite the hand he was dealt. I think its great that his dad got him into it and they do it together, and its great if he wants to work to help other disabled kids experience martial arts.

But having him fight non-disabled fighters is not fair to him or the other guy.
