S/FI brother great idea ! Most civilians and I am not bashing any of them either just do not fully understand our brutally candid, jaded , sarcastic , cynical out look on things. Our warped sense of honest humor is also not generally understood either.

 

I didn't want my post to come across as bashing civilians myself, its just...we are a different breed.

My suggestion tonight comes because I feel a need to reach out to brothers and I've lost comms with so many old friends through the years and we are only talking about two years since active duty!

In that time I've already lost many friends to suicide and accidental deaths that it is simply insane.

 

Probably the best sub-forum idea since we ran with separating 'food and water' from the Disaster Preparedness General Discussion. Lord knows we get a ton of requests for special areas of varying interest. Most are rejected because they can fit comfortably within an existing sub-forum and may place an added load onto the outdated forum software in use on this site. However, I think your idea has merit. I hope Kev considers it.

In the meantime, someone can certainly start a private group.

You can also search for "Military Service Member" and it should come right up for you. I think that if we were to advertise this a little more (perhaps spotlight certain group(s) each week on the front page of the forum by moderators?) we'd be able to reach more folks.
