U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at Chicago’s International Mail Facility (IMF) have been counting a lot of money, counterfeit money, in different denominations that have been seized from parcels coming into the U.S. In the past three months, officers have seized more than 100 shipments of counterfeit currency totaling more than $1.64 million.
At the end of February, CBP officers seized 24 shipments containing fake silver dollars, a collectible item among many enthusiasts. Additionally, during these three months CBP seized over $95,000 Euros, equal to over $112,000. Except for a few of the shipment, all these items were arriving from China destined for places all over the U.S., to include some cities within Illinois.

I suppose the Chinese gummint know nothing about this
I hope tptb are going to hammer somebody for this. international counterfeiting is serious stuff.

China is late to the game on US bills. North Korea has been passing fake US bills around the world for decades.

China ships in massive numbers of fake diver licenses, tons deadly drugs and fake industrial goods. The customs folks once found a couple of CONNEXs full of AK-47 headed for street gangs in LA - and nothing was done!

At some point, people will wake up that China has been involved in economic warfare against the US for decades....

Until we cut all ties with China, we are just laying our collective necks on the chopping block.

I fear for my grandchildren....

Well, a good start would be for the USA to abolish socialism, so we stop "competing" with other socialist powers.
For example, abolish all taxes on labor and industry. Make the USA a "tax haven". Guess what happens next?
Expatriate companies RUSH to re-open manufacturing in these united States.
And it squelches the illegal alien / undocumented worker flow.
NO benefits for anchor babies.
NO advantage for hiring "under the table".
NO disadvantage for hiring American labor.
NO subsidy of foreign production while penalizing America production (taxes boost retail prices).
Best of all, that should end TAX SHIFT INFLATION... where tax bills migrate to the retail price. Where else do companies (and their employees) get the money to pay taxes? It's not the invisible pink unicorn of socialism... fir shir.

But being realistic, gubmint will never unilaterally give up all that revenue and power. They want us helpless, dependent, and willing to be "governed". Shucks, if Americans began prospering they might get uppity and tell government that they no longer consent to be governed. D'Oh!

China has a serious domestic counterfeit currency problem so one would imagine that the same individuals and organised crime groups are printing dollars and Euros.
If they get caught, really reaally bad news.

If they get caught counter-fitting US cash? Likely nothing done, perhaps even an "atta boy"...

While your ideas may be good ones, what do they have to do with China counterfeiting US dollars?

already mentioned - North Korea has been making fake US & English pound notes for decades - using "diplomatic pouches" to ship BILLIONS $$$ around the world ...

Little Fat Man's old man bought the whole counterfeiting ops from commie East Germany >>> when it became evident that The Wall was coming down - some KGB types sold it off and transported it lock-stock-barrel and key personnel into NorKland >>> supposedly key personnel were sold off into NK slavery along with the equipment

A) there are no dollars in circulation
B) federal reserve notes (aka "dollar bills") are IOUs (debt)
C) they are underwritten by 330 million "human resources" via FICA (socialist insecurity)
D) abolishing socialism (and FICA) eradicates the collateral and thus wipes out the dollar bills. Think of an upside down mortgage - on a gigantic scale. Billionaires become zero-aires, overnight.
E) but at least we stop being 21 trillion DOLLARS (not dollar bills) in debt.
F) when the dust settles, hopefully folks will no longer be serfs in bondage to the creditor... if the creditor dares to poke his nose out of his hidey hole.
G) all those "counterfeit" worthless IOUs are -well- worthless.

“The Chinese are blowing up the web selling fake silver dollars. We’ve seen suspicious ads posted on many platforms, including Amazon and Facebook,” cautioned Doug Davis, ACEF Anti-Counterfeiting Director.
“During the past couple of weeks, we received an increase in reports of counterfeits due to silver’s volatility and especially the ongoing interest in the Morgan silver dollars market. The Chinese are heavily marketing fake silver dollars via Facebook,” said Davis, a former Texas Police Chief.

[Small squeaky voice] You do know that a "Federal Reserve Note," by law, is an IOU. The only question is : Who is the obligated party that's at risk when the CREDITOR comes to collect? The federal government cannot surrender property it holds in trust, so the CREDITOR can't attach any federal properties (clever CONgress).
And private property cannot be taken for public use without just compensation - in lawful money - not wastepaper.
Yet, "they" admit that "all the goods and services" in the country underwrite the worthless notes. You won't believe me, so write a polite questionnaire to your congresscritter and ask exactly HOW and WHEN did all YOUR labor and property become pledged as collateral on their kited checks?
Hint : Involves a nine digit numbered account that makes one eligible for "entitlements" (public charity).

Tell everyone you know to stay the heck out of any Chinatown in any major city. The amount of fake money in circulation there must be off the hook!
My late wife was a bank VP around 40th street in Manhattan until the 1987 crash. People were coming in with fake $20 bills frequently. They called in someone from the FR to have a look at the ones they kept, the FR let them know that the FR themselves was rife with fake bills too.
