My neighbor has a Marlin 22 Magnum for sale. I can't remember the model number. It is tube fed, he said 16 in the tube. It's bolt action good condition, I shot it. He said his Dad bought it late 60's to early 70's. He said he'd sell it for $100. Sometime to my own disadvantage, I feel obligated to be honest and I don't want to rip him off, he is a friend. I've tried finding a price on one, but no luck. Without taking advantage of him, what would be a fair price for the rifle?

if it looks brand new or in great shape and shoots good, I'd buy it.

22 magnum is a nice squirrel round

.22 Magnums are long cartriges , I think the tube only holds 12 not 16, I could be wrong. I don't think either party would get hurt too bad for $100.

Apocalypse Now, thanks. I thought the 16 in the tube sounded high myself. I've tried finding prices, but with todays technology, it seems impossible to find some things. He seems comfortable with the $100. My wife doesn't let me buy much as I have a tendency to talk people up in price.
