I've been putting together an emergency medical kit and gathering supplies I think will be hard to come by should things take a turn for the worse. One of the items I have been pricing is povidone iodine which is quite expensive at the local stores.

I would certainly do more research before attempting anything like this but I welcome any do it yourself knowledge.
