Thanks for the kind words, took me just over 2 years to build it
Nice work and well adorned. Where in the south is this cabin, and is that pine or some other wood? Love to here about it.

I bought an antique log tobacco barn, and repurposed the logs. The logs are over 100 years old, and I used what I could. It's all southern pine, and I am in South Carolina
Other would I bought from the local sawmill, and lumber that was left over from the barn. Two years nearly non stop, cleaning, cutting and custom fitting every stick!

That is what I used to hoist the ridge log into place. The ridge log was still green, so it was really heavy. I was glad when I got it into place

Hmmm. You’re more than 48” off the ground and not tied off. OSHA violation. You can get fined for that you know.
