Lithium Ion batteries burning peoples houses down

Hmmm does anyone have a battery that is NOT made in China??? I'm not a chemist, but many ( smart, educated) people have told me the following: lithium ion batteries are the ones that easily catch on fire and burn forever - innate to their chemistry and design, not related to quality. LiFePO4 batteries are very safe and stable. If they catch on fire, it is most likely because of a mfg. Or quality issue.

Don't know if that helps or not. But when I recharge a battery in my home, I never put it near an exit to a roof - if caught on fire could trap me in the room.
