So...a federal run gun smuggling operation employing felons that was designed to purchase long guns in the United States and smuggle them to drug cartels in Mexico for the purpose of discrediting law abiding firearms owners in the United States in order to support stricter gun control legislation.
These guns have been used in the murder of US federal officers, mexican law enforcement and innocent citizens.
This is bigger than Iran / Contra.
