I have to agree, it is a little strange that Colorado and the East Coast have an earthquake on the same day.
If you look at the two quakes on the Earthquake 3-D map, they not only overlap but literally look like twin events

There have also been a bunch of smaller quakes ranging from Alaska to Baja, and some larger ones in the South Pacific

City folk: 'OMG, it was 9/11 all over again'

Country folk: 'felt like a big freight train was rumbling through the back yard'

City folk: will not last long

Country folk: will survive

I wonder if the city folk had at least a BOB with them? Communications were jammed, roads jammed, bridges jammed, subway's closed, airports closed, how would they ever get home?

I agree that it is strange that there are two earthquake during the same day with so much space between them.
What if this was just the prequel for an even bigger one?

What about the timing? There are quakes everyday in the US.

Oklahoma has had a few small ones this month alone.

As rare as it is, stuff happens...we had a small tornado run thru a small part of LA a few years ago.
