I will tell you this, after you use a Kurki Machete, you will never go back. Up until a few years ago, I did not know how each using a machete could be.

With the weight towards the front of the blade, this chopping and hacking tool is very easy to use.

The Kurki in the pictures below is my personal Cold Steel Heavy Terrain Chopper. This model is no longer made.

They work great.
I have a similar machete, that I have used for years.
It is an M1917 Marine Bolo, wood handle, canvas/leather sheath.
Heavy as h3ll.
It was issued, to me, by the Air Force..go figure.

I was just reading Shotgun News, and SARCO got a new shipment of Kukri's. They've been out for the last 6 months. The 12" military is quite nice. The prices really can't be beat. Check out: http://www.sarcoinc.com/bayo-kukris.html Hope this helps.
