I believe the Biden Rule applies to "lame duck" Presidents. Which isn't the case with Trump as he can run (and most likely win) in 2020.
As to RBG I would venture her clerks have been writing her opinions for some years.

Actually, life tenure means that if she is in a coma, she is still on the Court, and the cap on the number of justices would prevent Trump from nominating her replacement. She would have to be impeached. Otherwise, she could live on as a human vegetable until a Democrat is elected President. And we all know how the Democrats in the Senate would vote if she were impeached.

Time to repeat that old joke, which may not actually be a joke.

Further, the R's hold the Senate. If a new Supreme has to be voted on at any time, McConnell will hold the vote.

To be more precise, the rumor was that she was "brain dead" (aka senile) but still voting in absentia on important Supreme Court issues that she is no longer mentally capable of understanding. If true, that means someone else who has not been properly nominated & confirmed is illegally voting for her.
Just Demokrats doing what Demokrats NORMALLY do!

Today, for the first time since surgery RGB has returned to the SC for a private conference.
I had previously heard, off the record, the the surgery was significantly more than removing two small tumors. It was confirmed today that doctors removed about half of her left lung. That does not bode well for her. But it also indicates she will probably never retire. At least until she is unable to perform her job.

it's getting to the point unless I can stick a needle in a random part of a body of a "person" and draw blood it's all suspect.
