I just bought an Anderson lower from Palmetto State Armory. It was on sale for $49, so I thought why not.

What should I build?

Maybe a 20 inch upper with rifle length gas system?

Maybe a 16 inch barrel with carbine or mid-length gas system?

Maybe a 300 AAC blackout?

If you already have 3 M4's, I would build a 20" with rifle length gas system with 1:7 twist barrel. I bought one of those Anderson Lowers locally for $99 and ordered the PSA Classic Lower Build Kit for $79.99. I'm very impressed with it so far.

Have just finished building another 5.56 and another 6.5 Grendel for my son using Anderson lowers. Good lowers love the 6.5 Grendel. Going out today and order another Anderson stripped lower and upper. Still loving my 300blkout I built, life's a lot easier since I got the 3oo blackout cut off jig. Doing at least 3 times the number of cases per hour.

I'm gonna get a few of those (Anderson lowers) and just put 'em up.
I would like to do the same but until I build one I don't feel comfortable buying in bulk, especially for a new on the market lower. I bought a couple AR57 brand lowers, really liked the way they looked, but when I built the lower I ran into a couple issues, the main one being that the safety lever would not rotate completely up. It was just a few degrees off and didn't effect the function of the lower, is was purely cosmetic, but it bugged me enough that I sold the lowers.

Anybody built an Anderson lower yet?

I just built an anderson lower, one of the 49.99 deals and came out very nicely. It was for my girls carbine to replace the poly lower i had(which moved over to the cheap 189$ ptac upper). But I would say try out 300aac pistol. I LOVE mine. Very compact and easy to shoot but with a lot of punch. Eventually itll sbr/suppressed but one thing at a time of course...

This morning after attending the funeral of a good friend and fellow Nam vet who just lost his battle with agent orange and feeling a little depressed I figured if it works for women then it might work for men. So on the way home I stopped at my local gunshop who had just moved about a mile from his old location. Asked him if he could order me a stripped Anderson lower. Well he made the phone call and realized they did not have his new FFL on file from the move and could not ordered. Being the stand up guy he is he said he would sell me his he ordered at the same time I order the last one. He had already installed a complet DPMS lower parts kit in it. New out the door including tax, $96.00. Happy, Happy,Happy, looka here, looka here good times have come our way.
Now I have no idea what caliber to build this one in.

Sorry to hear about your friend.

Thanks Kev, guess I am lucky having beat agent orange cancer this past year. The DPMS feels smooth playing with it.

Oh yea, shopping does make you feel some better when shopping for the right stuff:D:
