If people would actually look around at the state of our once great Union they would be shocked. Most people are going about their daily lives and keeping their heads down. But if they stopped and just looked around at the way things are and the way they are going then they would see how far our country has fallen.

We are seeing the actions of a government out of control. More like some bureaucratic fiefdom for who falls into the open position of boss for that agency.

So, I ask, who is in charge?

Congress can't act, senate is impotent, president is anti-American and the supreme court crawls slower than a century calendar. This is a country of departments, agencies, branches of government with people putting in their time to get the perks of the job.

No one, (in gov), is accountable for their actions.

Yes! something is looming. we will have a economic recession / Depression. and if we have some disaster of some sort that combined with our economic troubles will bring about a disaster.

 

Social unrest is always around the corner.

I think that they give you the constant illusion that something is looming and keep people fighting with each other about a few issues so most people don't notice the slow but steady erosion of their rights.

Like the Greeks and Romans before them, the US empire was inevitably going to rise and then fall - it is the way of history - nothing is forever.....

I believe that the US peaked politically, morally and economically about 30-40 years ago.

Since then things have been declining slowly - but it does not follow a uniform path - there have been and will continue to be ups and downs. It is just that the highs and lows will be a little lower each time from now on.

The US is a big ship and has a lot of momentum - and most people have short attention spans and little interest in history. They are the only things that have prevented most people from working out what is going on.

The only thing we can hope for is that, like Rome, the US empire takes a long time to fall.....hopefully long after I am dead.
